Official Rules: “Infection Free Zone – Map Contest”

1. General Provisions

  1. The organizer of the contest is Games Operators SA, Tax ID: 5272755761, based in Poland (hereinafter: the “Organizer”).
  2. This is a skill-based contest, not a game of chance under the Polish Gambling Act of November 19, 2009.
  3. The contest will run from July 30, 2025, to August 27, 2025 (“Contest Period”).

2. Eligibility

  1. Participants must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a legal guardian.
  2. Participation is free and voluntary.
  3. To enter, participants must create a map using the Infection Free Zone Map Editor and send an email with a link to it (uploaded to the Steam Workshop) to contact@gameops.pl, with the subject line: “Infection Free Zone – Map Contest”.
  4. By submitting a map, participants declare that they are the original authors and have full rights to submit it.
  5. Employees of Games Operators, their family members, and anyone involved in organizing or judging the contest are not eligible to participate.

3. Contest Rules

  1. The task is to create a map using the Infection Free Zone Map Editor tool.
  2. Submissions must be emailed by August 27, 2025, to contact@gameops.pl.
  3. After the submission deadline, the Organizer will select 5 winners based on creativity, quality, and relevance of their submission to the game.
  4. Winners will be announced no later than September 3, 2025.
  5. Maps may be realistic, original, or inspired by other games, movies, or books. Creativity is the primary criterion for judging submissions. The use of the land elevation editing tools is also encouraged.
  6. Submissions will be evaluated by a contest jury consisting of 3 members of the Games Operators team. Each jury member will assign a score from 0 to 10 for each entry. The points will be totaled, and the entries with the highest overall score will be declared winners.
  7. In the event of a tie (equal total scores), both entries will be considered winners, and each creator will receive a prize.

4. Prizes

  1. Each winner will receive a game key for one title of their choice from the Games Operators catalog. Selected finalist entries will also be showcased in the official Steam announcement.
  2. The value of each prize does not exceed 2000 PLN (Polish Zloty) gross.
  3. Prizes will be delivered electronically to the email address used for submission within 7 days of the winners’ announcement
  4. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods.

5. Personal Data (GDPR)

  1. The administrator of personal data is Games Operators S.A., based in Poland.
  2. Personal data will be processed solely for the purpose of conducting the contest, contacting winners, and delivering prizes.
  3. Providing data is voluntary but necessary for participation.
  4. Participants have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of their data. In order to do so, they have to send an email to contact@gameops.pl

6. Ownership and Usage Rights of Submitted Work

  1. Copyright for submitted works remains with the participant. By submitting a map to the contest, the participant grants the Organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use the map for promotional, sales,  marketing, and presentation purposes, including publication in printed materials, digital content, and social media, with proper attribution to the creator.

7. Complaint / Appeal Procedure

  1. Participants have the right to file a complaint regarding the contest within 7 days after the announcement of the results. Complaints must be submitted by email to contact@gameops.pl with the subject line “Complaint – IFZ Contest.” The Organizer will review the complaint within 14 business days of receipt.

8. Final Provisions

  1. The Organizer reserves the right to amend these rules for valid reasons.
  2. Matters not covered by these rules are subject to the laws of Poland.

Participation in the contest implies acceptance of these rules.
